Rule 1: The "Own Words" Mandate. Do not copy/paste from the textbook. Paraphrasing is a powerful form of initial encoding. You must process the info to rewrite it.
Rule 2: The Conciseness Constraint. Keep answers brief but complete. Makes recall easier and assessment faster.

Step 5: Running the Simulation — The 5-Step Loop
- Hide. Start with toggles closed / cards down.
- Read. Select a question.
- Retrieve. Attempt to answer from memory.
- Check. Reveal the hidden answer.
- Assess. Compare and grade performance.

The trap: "Yeah, I basically know that."
The fix: You must say the answer out loud or write it on scratch paper BEFORE revealing the solution.

- GREEN. Perfect recall. I know this cold.
- YELLOW. Mostly correct, but missed a key detail.
